One 13x13 Parker crossword, three sets of clues. Family serves the friendliest clues and shows wrong letters in red as you go. Classic is the original published puzzle — clues marked (K) were written for kids, so the youngest solver at the table always has a way in. Master rewrites every clue with a question-mark twist.
Tap a square and type. Tap the square again to switch between Across and Down, or tap any clue to jump to it. The arrows on the clue bar walk the puzzle clue by clue.
Hints (5 per game) reveal the selected square exactly — revealed squares score nothing. The puzzle completes the moment every square is right.
Every square you fill is worth 10 points times your mode — Family x1, Classic x2, Master x3. The meter follows the board: erase a letter and its points step back off. Hint-revealed squares never score. A full Classic grid pays its maximum only if every square is yours.
Family mode is the training table: wrong letters show in red and count on the mistakes chip. Classic and Master record nothing while you solve — the chip shows a dash, and the grid only confirms itself when the whole puzzle is right.
Finish and you receive a Real World IQ score: your score performance (0–100, with a small penalty per wrong entry) multiplied by 2.0, plus a speed bonus of up to 20 for beating par. The maximum is 220.
Three- and four-letter answers are the skeleton of a 13x13. Fill the ones you know cold, and the long answers start spelling themselves.
Stuck on a clue? Solve its crossings instead. Two or three placed letters turn an impossible clue into an obvious one.
In Classic mode the (K) clues are gimmes by design — bank them early and hand them to the youngest solver at the table.
A clue ending in ? is never literal. ''Short cut?'' is not about scissors — read it sideways.
